2024 Spring Exhibition

Hallam Art Group holds an annual Spring Exhibition at Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens. This year it was held on the 4th-6th May - and we were lucky to have selected dates which were sunny and warm.

The good weather encouraged many visitors

This year was exceptional, with more of our members exhibiting work, and more paintings on show than ever before. There were two hundred and twenty two original paintings, along with almost as many prints.

The quality and variety of work was very noticeable.

Members came along to demonstrate art being created. Here is Gerry Kersey showing how he develops a painting from initial sketches.

The Spring show awards two prizes.

The best floral painting was awarded to Jennifer Meiring (who had the honour of presenting it to herself!)

And the best painting award went to Elizabeth Timms for a painting of Padley Gorge
